Compensation has been awarded to a woman who was glassed in the face after her attacker was identified via social networking site Facebook.
Jennifer Wilson was attacked in the Walkabout pub in Watford in March earlier this year.
Ashleigh Holliman, 22, of Croxley Green, pleaded guilty to charges of actual bodily harm over the incident, in which the prosecution said Miss Wilson had been doing nothing wrong.
Holliman, who works as a hairdresser, had been identified in relation with the crime after police officers tracked her down on Facebook, reports the Watford Observer.
Ms Wilson was left with a scar on her face after the assault and was awarded £2,400 by St Albans Crown Court.
Holliman will also have to undertake 120 hours of community service in addition to paying the compensation.
Earlier this week, a man was awarded £1,000 in compensation after he was attacked at a railway station in Wales.
Matthew Hale was punched to the ground and stamped on by Joshua Preece, 19, of Bridgend.

A teenage girl was killed in a tragic accident when the mast of a boat being towed along a road hit the car in which she was travelling, a court has heard.
Sarah James, 19, died after the loose dinghy mast smashed through the windscreen of her friend’s car.
Mark Tissiman, a millionaire businessman whose Range Rover was towing the boat after he had been taking part in a sailing competition, is accused of failing to properly secure the mast of the boat and causing death by dangerous driving.
Prosecutor Peter Arnold told Hereford Crown Court: "The mast came out of its mooring and swung out like a lance in a medieval joust and, like two horsemen approaching, the cars approached each other."
He added that it should have been properly secured to the dinghy.
Mr Tissiman is the director of MT Heating, a West Midlands heating contractor that is employed by several local councils in the region.
The trial continues.

A logistics firm from Derby has been prosecuted by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) following an accident in which a woman lost part of her leg.
NYK Logistics, which distributes parts for Toyota, was held responsible for the accident in 2006.
Lisa Ramos was hit by a forklift truck which knocked her to the floor and ran over her left leg.
This caused multiple injuries and Ms Ramos had to have her lower leg amputated in hospital.
Melvin Sandell, prosecuting on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive, told a hearing at Derby crown court: "The force of the impact [on Ms Ramos] was so serious it resulted in muscles tearing away from her bone. The HSE view this accident as very serious and the decision to prosecute has not been taken lightly."
All employers are obliged to provide a safe working environment for workers and the HSE will prosecute where appropriate any cases in which this requirement has not been fulfilled.

A company has been ordered to pay a fine of £70,000 after one of its employees suffered a fatal injury.
During a recent hearing at Maidstone crown court, Carillion JM, which was formerly known as Mowlem, was also charged costs of £24,000.
It was found guilty of breaches of health and safety regulations in relation to the incident.
In December 2003, staff member Alexander McCully was altering work platforms in order to allow a roof structure to be lifted into place by four cranes.
During his activities, a board he was standing on snapped and he fell 17 metres to the ground.
Commenting on the case, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) inspector John Underwood said: "This was a wholly avoidable incident which led to unnecessary loss of life. I hope this case and the fine imposed will serve as a lesson to scaffold builders and the tank building industry."
According to HSE figures, 228 workers died in 2007-08, meaning the fatality rate stood at 0.75 per 100,000 employees.

Employers must ensure the safety of their drivers while loading and unloading goods, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has claimed.
The body made the statement after Saint Gobain Building Distribution Ltd was fined a total of £120,000, in addition to costs of £51,000, by Lincoln Crown Court, when one of its workers died as the result of a fall.
Heavy goods vehicle driver Nigel Sargeant suffered fatal injuries after falling from his vehicle after becoming concerned about the height of a load he was carrying, reports Abeceder.
HSE inspector Jo Anderson commented: "This incident highlights the need for employers to recognise the risk of drivers falling when loading and unloading vehicles. They need to put measures in place to prevent this sort of incident from happening again.
In other HGV-related news, a driver narrowly avoided death when a HGV carrying 35 tonnes of concrete collided with it, reports the Blackpool Gazette.
